Grumpy x Sunshine meets forced proximity， meets -he-falls-first。I knew Holden would be my favourite of the Rhodes brothers as soon as I got my hands on this ARC， and Stephanie did not disappoint。 Somehow Holden carries golden retriever energy while also maintaining the broody grump image we all know and love。 It's adorable。 How is he the perfect boyfriend blueprint？ *swoon*The book had a lot more green alien dildos than I thought it would， I'm not mad。 The dialog between Holden and Sadie was fun Grumpy x Sunshine meets forced proximity， meets -he-falls-first。I knew Holden would be my favourite of the Rhodes brothers as soon as I got my hands on this ARC， and Stephanie did not disappoint。 Somehow Holden carries golden retriever energy while also maintaining the broody grump image we all know and love。 It's adorable。 How is he the perfect boyfriend blueprint？ *swoon*The book had a lot more green alien dildos than I thought it would， I'm not mad。 The dialog between Holden and Sadie was funny， but there was sooooo much spice。 More so than the previous three books， in my opinion。 Holden talks dirty and gives great head- mindblowing really。 * chef kiss*。 And who doesn't love a supportive King？ While Sadie was adorable and funny， her character didn't speak to me in the same way Hanna and Avery did in the previous books。 She has kissed some frogs in the past， so I suppose I can't fault her too much。 However， the next book of the series was set up perfectly。 Finn and Olivia's story was teased every now and again without taking away from the main storyline。 While Holden will have a special place in my heart， I'm beyond excited to finally meet Finn。 。。。more

The cover is so cringe but I loved the banter！ Archer’s male characters are very Tessa Bailey-esque in that the mmc have that territorial/alpha mindset but are still cinnamon rolls。 Some of this was over the top but overall a great romcom with scenes that had me laughing out loud。 Book #2 is still my absolute fav - definitely excited though for Finn/Olivia’s story。 3。75/5 ⭐️

I will inhale anything Stephanie Archer writes。 Her books are the perfect escapist， tropey， goofy， swoony， hilarious reads。 They are best of the "rom-com" genre of romance because they are actually romantic *and* funny。。。which seems so simple， and yet not every promised "rom-com" book delivers both in the way that Archer is able to。 They also have incredible smut， like A+ all the spice levels smut。 It is glorious。 This book follows Holden Rhodes， who might be my favorite of Archer's heroes yet， I will inhale anything Stephanie Archer writes。 Her books are the perfect escapist， tropey， goofy， swoony， hilarious reads。 They are best of the "rom-com" genre of romance because they are actually romantic *and* funny。。。which seems so simple， and yet not every promised "rom-com" book delivers both in the way that Archer is able to。 They also have incredible smut， like A+ all the spice levels smut。 It is glorious。 This book follows Holden Rhodes， who might be my favorite of Archer's heroes yet， and Sadie Waters， as they inherit an inn and are forced to confront the complicated feelings they have had for each other since high school。 What follows is a really fun exploration of the opposites attract trope （sunshine + grump） and the trials and tribulations of falling in love with the right person at maybe the wrong time。 If you haven't already， read the whole Queen's Cove series， but you can also start this as a standalone。 Just be prepared to immediately want to read the rest as soon as you finish。 And while you do that I'll be over here counting down the days until Finn and Olivia's book is out！！ 。。。more

This is my first read from Stephanie and it definitely won't be my last。 I absolutely devoured this books。 I loved the second chance， forced proximity aspect and I adored the fact that Rhodes has been in love with Sadie since their teenage years， The transition from enemies to friends with benefits to lovers was seamless and Holden was the perfect man for Sadie。 I understood Sadie's reluctance to commit especially after being burned by her conman ex fiancee， but the way Holden is patient （althou This is my first read from Stephanie and it definitely won't be my last。 I absolutely devoured this books。 I loved the second chance， forced proximity aspect and I adored the fact that Rhodes has been in love with Sadie since their teenage years， The transition from enemies to friends with benefits to lovers was seamless and Holden was the perfect man for Sadie。 I understood Sadie's reluctance to commit especially after being burned by her conman ex fiancee， but the way Holden is patient （although that disappears by the end） and helps her understand his love。 Also the wayHolden tried to overcome his insecurity after Sadie's childhood thoughts buried under his skin。 Also the treehouse， the way he looked after her after the disastrous boat scene， the paintings！ I loved loved loved this book， I can't recommend this enough！ 。。。more

This book was adorable and I am thoroughly obsessed with Holden Rhodes。 The catfishing ex fiancé just felt way too far fetched to me though and some of the conflict felt a bit forced and ridiculous， but the swoon and the steam made up for it
